Commitment to Professionalism
OB-GYN Associates is committed to providing Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland region with personal and professional care in obstetrics and gynecology. Each physician regularly participates in continuing education, attending courses and seminars annually on the latest available technologies.
From the time it was built in 1975, our building has grown along with the community and doctor/patient care. In 1993, we doubled our building size to 10,000 square feet, and now includes a patient education room, office and examination space for 5 doctors and a nurse-midwife. Our numbers, our facility and our plans for the future express our commitment to providing the community with continuing, accessible, quality care.

Appointments
Appointments can be made during office hours. For a routine check-up, please call four to six weeks before you want your appointment. If you have to cancel an appointment, we would appreciate at least 24 hours notice.
We make every effort to see you punctually, but we ask for your understanding when a delivery or emergency occurs and the doctor is delayed.

If You Think You May Be Pregnant

You do not need an appointment to have a pregnancy test done. If you are late for your period come to our office between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for a simple, low-cost urine pregnancy test. You will know the results of the test generally within one hour.
Gynecological Problems or Annual Physicals
If you are having some problem with your reproductive organs and you are not pregnant, please note the following.
Do not douche or insert vaginal creams or other medications or tampons for 48 hours before your appointment
Know the first day of your last menstrual period.
Pap smears cannot be performed while you are having your period.
Know what medications you are taking. If you are not sure, bring the bottles with you to show the doctor.
