The first day I came to Dr. Barner’s office, I had live in terrible pain for over six years.  The doctors first said it was my nerves.  They put me on muscle relaxers, which did not help at all.  At one time they had me on 22 pills a day.  I stopped all medicines; they said it was arthritis, so I was put on arthritis medication, which only made me very sick at my stomach.  I asked my doctor about going to a chiropractor.  He said chiropractors couldn’t help me because I had been diagnosed as having arthritis.  That was the last time I went to that doctor.  I could hardly move.  I could be walking and the pain would go into my right hip and I would fall.  I had nothing to hold onto.  I finally called Dr. Barner’s office and made an appointment.  After he took x-rays and performed the examination, I asked him if he could help and he said YES!  After only three visits, I could not believe the difference.  Two months later I could even dance with my husband again. R.A.


I went to Dr. Barner while my regular chiropractor was out of town.  I was so impressed with the results of his treatment that when my teenage daughter developed middle back and right shoulder pain, I took her to him for treatment.  He fixed the cause of her pain and salvaged her high school softball season.  R.H.


I had a 15 year history of back pain.  My back hurt all over and I was unable to even bend over.  I had been to a chiropractor before, but the treatment didn’t work.  Dr. Barner examined and x-rayed me, then explained the cause of my pain.  Dr Barner also explained that I had this condition for a long time and it would take time to heal. 
It took about a year of treatment, but it was well worth it.  I have been pain free for the past 9 months without any treatments.

I am a roofer who was injured on the job.  I had been to an orthopedic surgeon, a neurosurgeon, as well as physical therapy. I went to Dr. Barner’s office for a second opinion about the numbness in my right leg.  I am an active 80 ear old man and this problem was interfering with my tennis game.  I was unable to raise the toes of my right foot, a condition known as “drop foot.”  I had been to another chiropractor as well as several medical doctors.  Nothing seemed to help.  I appreciated Dr Barner’s one-on-one relationship, honest concern, and his thoroughness.  I am happy to report that within two weeks the numbness was gone.  The “drop foot” is better and Dr. Barner has me doing rehabilitative exercises to strengthen the affected muscles.   J.A.

I was shot in the head at close range. The bullet lodged in my brain and I lost use of the left side of my body.  They couldn’t remove the bullet for fear of it killing me.  At the hospital, they told me that I would probably have headaches for the rest of my life and they didn’t know if I would ever get the use of my left side.  At the VA hospital, they saved my life, but Dr. Barner gave me my life back.  All the medical doctors could do was give me drugs for the pain.  Dr. Barner worked on me, straightening and re-aligning my body like it is supposed to be.  First my headaches stopped and now I am moving my left arm and hand and walking without my cane for short periods.  We are working on getting my strength now.  Without Dr. Barner’s fantastic work and faith in me and himself, I would have been crippled and plagued with a life of pain pills.  Thank God he was there and able to help me.   L.M.
