Dr. Dale W. Barner received his undergraduate training at Palmer Junior College in Davenport, Iowa. He then attended Palmer Chiropractic College, known as the “Fountainhead of Chiropractic,” where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1980. Dr. Barner started his practice in Nashville in 1988, moving to his current location in downtown Springfield, TN, in 1996. Additional education includes EMT training from Volunteer State University and a Bachelors degree in Management from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Dr. Barner has been examined and found worthy by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He has been further examined and licensed in the states of Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Additional certificates of training include: Physical Therapy, Utilization Review, Disability Assessment, and Applied Kinesiology. Extensive post-graduate studies at many accredited chiropractic colleges have allowed Dr Barner to successfully treat problem cases, structural rehabilitation, extremity problems (arms/elbows/wrists/legs/knees/ankles), migraine headaches, and most recently weight management, esp. “belly fat.” Dr. Barner has spent many weekends attending seminars and other educational classes which help keep him abreast if the most recent changes in diagnosis, treatment, and case management of many conditions.
In the community, Dr. Barner is a graduate of the Citizen’s Police Academy, Leadership 2000 class, and Dale Carneige. He has served as an Ambassador for the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, Commander of the Springfield American Legion, President of the Springfield Lions Club, Master of the Greenbrier Masonic Lodge, Commander of the Robertson County Young Marines, Assistant Scoutmaster – Boy Scouts, and Senior Chiropractor for the Tennessee State Guard. He is also a veteran having served ten years in the United States Marine Corps.

Dr. Dale W. Barner completed his chiropractic pre-requisite curriculum in Davenport, Iowa, followed by a 4 year graduate study including a 3 year internship at Palmer College of Chiropractic, known as the "Fountainhead of Chiropractic". He is National Board Certified and State Board Certified, and licensed in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
Additional certifications include Physical Therapy, Emergency Medical Technician, CPR Instructor, AMA Disability Impairment Rating, and Chiropractic Utilization Management. Advanced training includes chiropractic biophysics, radiology, physical therapy, and soft tissue injuries.
Dr. Barner is listed in the National Directory of Who's Who in Executives and Professionals and the National Directory of Who's Who in American Colleges. He has also served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps.
Dr. Barner has been the clinic director of multiple chiropractic clinics prior to setting down roots in the Springfield area. These include United Chiropractic, Bordeaux Chiropractic, Chiropractic House Calls, Chiropractic Services-The Pain Center, and the Barner Chiropractic Center. Dr Barner founded the Robertson County Chiropractic Center in 1996, changing the name to "The Barner Clinic" in 1998.
Professional memberships include the Tennessee Chiropractic Association and the American Association of Spine Physicians. In Robertson County, Dr. Barner has completed the Citizen's Police Academy and the Leadership 2000 program, and is an Ambassador for the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Barner has written numerous chiropractic articles and made several appearance on TV and Radio. Dr. Barner welcomes the opportunity to speak at group events or places of employment. Some of his previous topics have included Back Injury Prevention in the Work Place, Back Injury Prevention in the Home, Stress Reduction in the Work Place, CPR Training/Certification, First Aid Training, and Current Changes in Health Care.
